The Sorbonne University Science and Culture Festival
Four days of science and culture in Paris.
More than 90 events will take place at five locations around Paris for Sorbonne University's inaugural Science and Culture Festival. The four-day event will include meetings, experiments, exhibitions, walking tours on specific themes, artistic performances, concerts, dances and games, including approximately 20 events programmed by the universities of Heidelberg, Milan, Warsaw and Prague.
The events that make up the Science and Culture Festival are designed and run by the scientific and administrative staff and students of Sorbonne University, the Sorbonne University Alliance, and 4EU+ (*).
From Thursday 25th to Sunday 28th November 2021
The guiding theme of the festival, "Let’s imagine the future!" is broken up into three general topics to explore the numerous challenges and social upheavals experienced in today’s world:
- Nature: what does the future look like for humanity? Building new relationships and a new "contract" between humans and their environment.
- The human being of tomorrow: augmented, assisted, modified, shaken up? From evolution to repair.
- Art, culture and heritage: what roles are involved in societal transition? Creating in the world of tomorrow.

With the goal of sharing Sorbonne University’s expertise, initiatives and achievements with every sector of society, The Science and Culture Festival was conceived within the framework of the Sorbonne University Alliance and the 4EU+ European Alliance.
The Sorbonne University Science and Culture Festival’s goal is to enable the public to discover the progress made in various areas of research. Using an interactive approach, the Festival will highlight how research has been targeted to respond to contemporary societal issues. issues.
