The Science Festival Turns 30
France’s annual science festival celebrates three decades.
Every year at this national event, students of all ages are welcomed onto university campuses to see science close up and personal. More than 100 Sorbonne University researchers at four Parisian sites will open their laboratories and offer workshops, exhibitions and conferences, bring the wonders of science to the uninitiated.
Meet researchers from the humanities, social sciences, medical sciences, and science and engineering in workshops, exhibitions, lectures, and debates, and watch live demonstrations of experiments conducted in Sorbonne University's three marine stations. An exhibition on participative sciences will also be featured.
Created in 1991, the Fête de la Science is organized by the Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation to allow everyone to meet the men and women who are moving science forward today. For its 30th edition, the 2021 theme is "Eureka! The emotion of discovery".
